The Winter Games Australia NZ Cup is a Continental Cup for Alpine racing, the highest level of ski racing in New Zealand.

The competition continues with two days of Giant Slalom down the Hurdle.

The best spots to view the action and hear the MC are from Milners Mound (access via Arnold's Way) and Big Bend by the upper access point to Rocky Gully on the Big Easy. Be sure to check out the international and kiwi alpine talent!

Athlete information:

  • Athlete invitations have been sent out to competitors at the beginning of the 2023 season, including schedule, team captains meeting details and more.
  • Athletes must be FIS registered compete.
  • ANC FIS Rules apply: Athletes must have 160 points maximum in slalom or giant slalom to enter.
  • Entries must be made on the official FIS entry form to hannah@wintergamesnz.kiwi.
  • Entry fee is $95 and payments are to be made via an online link that will be sent from our Race & Events department upon confirmation of entry.
  • Payment for races must be completed prior to race day. Registration closes 5pm Monday 21 August. No on-the-day registration.

  • Awards are to follow one hour after event completion on the main deck of the base building
  • Please note filming and pictures may take place during this event. Email race@coronetpeak.co.nz if any athlete wishes to not be photographed.
