Coronet Peak Ski Bus
Getting to Coronet Peak is easy; we’re the closest ski area to Queenstown, only 16kms from Queenstown. You can either drive yourself or catch a ride on the Coronet Peak Ski Bus. The Ski Bus departs regularly from Duke St in Central Queenstown for an easy ride up and down the mountain in winter. We have a fleet of modern 4WD and 2WD buses to carry you and your equipment in comfort.
Vehicle parking is also available in central Queenstown at Man St Car Park, close to the Ski Bus pick up location.
View the Alpine Code of Practice from the NZ Bus & Coach Association.
Relax and enjoy the scenic journey to and from Coronet Peak on our ski bus. Our scheduled service runs from central Queenstown on Memorial St. We stop at all of the main bus stops en route to the ski area as capacity allows. When purchasing your Ski Bus pass online, please make sure you collect your MyPass Card before you jump on your bus to the mountains. These are available from Guest Services at the Snow Centre.

The Coronet Peak road is a fully sealed alpine road. Please drive to the conditions, maintain two-way access and carry chains at all times. Check the weather page on our website for road conditions and car park availability. Coronet Peak offers a lot of free car parking areas, many of which are within walking distance of the base facilities. If you are parked a bit farther away, you can hop on the free shuttle bus service. This shuttle runs continuously throughout the day between the designated pickup areas and the drop-off area at the base building. You can also use this drop-off area to drop off friends, family and heavy gear before finding your car park.
